Ruth Thomas

Ruth is a second-year student pursuing a BA in International Relations and Global Studies at the University of Texas at Austin, with minors in Chinese and Cultural Expression, and Human Experience and Thought. She is a quadrilingual Indian-American who grew up traveling between the Middle East, India, Europe, and the United States. Ruth participates in several internationally curated organizations and has conducted policy research on U.S.-China relations with the Asia Society’s Young Leaders Institute. Her interests include the impact of colonialism on language, art, and behavior, as well as how philosophy plays a role in international relations. Ruth loves visiting art galleries, reading historical fiction, playing guitar, and listening to music.
