International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust
An event every year that begins at 12:00 am on day 27 of January, repeating indefinitely
This Day is commemorated to recognize the victims of the Holocaust as well as to remember that the United Nations was established in response to the horrific crimes of the Holocaust with the mindset of never again will something this morally reprehensible be permitted to occur. Today is a call to action for collective action against not only antisemitism but examples of genocide and ethnic cleansing globally to ensure human rights for all.
