Kelsey Goodspeed

Position: Partnership Development Lead, events calendar, content
Kelsey is a senior at Florida International University (FIU) studying International Relations and Political Science with a certificate in National Security Studies. With a deep passion for education development, she is pursuing a certificate in Peace Corps Prep and currently perfecting her Spanish language skills to embark on a year in Spain as an ESL teaching assistant.  Kelsey has always had a deep passion for cultural exchange and is a fervent disciple of adventure. In high school, she spent several weeks in Québec learning about maple syrup production and the French language. She organized a benefit showcase to raise funds for the girl’s education initiative “Camp G.L.O.W” in Jamaica. This experience led her on a path towards discovering more about the world and how her own country operates within it. Kelsey spent a semester in D.C. interning with a political action committee working on human rights abuses in Pakistan. She primarily worked on women’s issues and education and understands the value of international education and its intersection with advocacy. At FIU, she has researched human trafficking policy in South Florida with a local human rights foundation to raise awareness in schools. In her free time, you can find Kelsey tutoring students at the Escuelita Maya Center, paddleboarding in the ocean, or reading a book at the library in her hometown of West Palm Beach, FL.
