An event every year that begins at 12:00 am on day 16 of June, repeating indefinitely
This universally recognized World Day recognizes the contributions of millions of migrants to improve the lives of their family members back home and create a better future for their children. The majority of remittances go to rural areas which are disproportionately affected by poverty and hunger and greatly impact the communities into which remittances flow.
