International Albinism Awareness Day
An event every year that begins at 12:00 am on day 13 of June, repeating indefinitely
The United Nations created this international day to bring attention to the forms of discrimination that people with albinism face worldwide. People with albinism are placed at significant risks as a result of profound social and medical misunderstandings leading to stigma, marginalization, and social exclusion.
