This course introduces a central feature of contemporary international affairs public diplomacy and challenges the student to locate themselves as both its targets and practitioners.

This course introduces a major sub-area of Public Diplomacy, and one which many practitioners feel suffers from being corralled alongside advocacy and public affairs: cultural diplomacy.

This class looks at various approaches and theories of negotiation, methods of intervention (including everything from mediation to coercion), crisis management, conflict prevention, and implementation of agreements.
